Candle Care & Safety.
Your Fantasy Flames candle has been lovingly hand-poured using premium materials designed to burn cleanly and safely. To ensure the best experience — and to keep you, your home, and your candle protected — please read and follow these guidelines carefully.
Before Lighting
Always trim your wick to approximately 7mm before each burn using a wick trimmer or scissors. Long or untrimmed wicks can cause excessive flame, soot, and smoke.
Ensure your candle surface is free from debris, matches, or wick trimmings.
Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface before lighting. Avoid furniture, plastic, or delicate surfaces that may be damaged by heat.
Never place candles near drafts, air vents, or fans — airflow can cause uneven burning, flickering, or soot build-up.
Always keep your candle away from curtains, bedding, paper, or other flammable materials.
Keep out of reach of children and pets at all times.
While Burning
Never leave a burning candle unattended — extinguish before leaving a room or going to sleep.
Do not burn for less than 1 hour or more than 4 hours at a time. Burning too short may cause tunnelling; burning too long may cause overheating or wick movement.
Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface with every burn to prevent tunnelling and ensure optimal fragrance release.
If the flame becomes too high or flickers excessively, extinguish the candle, let it cool, trim the wick, and relight.
Do not move or touch the candle vessel while the wax is liquid — the jar can become extremely hot.
Avoid placing your candle directly on or near electrical appliances, polished furniture, or any surface that may scorch or melt.
If multiple candles are burning, keep them at least 10cm apart to prevent heat transfer or uneven airflow.
Do not use the candle as a night light or in situations where it may be left unattended for extended periods.
After Each Burn
Extinguish your candle carefully — do not use water to extinguish as it may cause wax to splatter or the glass to crack. Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame.
Allow wax to cool and solidify completely before moving or relighting.
Stop burning your candle when approximately 10mm of wax remains. Burning beyond this point may cause the vessel to overheat or crack.
Check your vessel after each burn for any damage or excessive soot build-up. Discontinue use if cracks or dark residue appear inside the glass.
Storage & General Care
Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent discolouration, melting, or scent loss.
Avoid leaving candles in vehicles or outdoors in hot weather.
If your candle develops a frosted or uneven appearance, don’t worry — this is a natural characteristic of soy wax and doesn’t affect performance.
Always replace the candle lid (if applicable) between uses to protect the wax from dust and preserve its fragrance.
Safety Disclaimer
